The SFM‑AT350 is an automated system for efficient depowdering of metal laser melted parts. It is the powder removal unit for medium-sized parts weighing up to 60 kg. An optimized chamber volume, an enhanced freedom of motion and intelligent features characterize the SFM‑AT350. The SFM‑AT350 thus sets new standards in the depowdering of medium-sized metal components. Using the unique Smart Powder Reuperation technology SPR®, the SFM‑AT350 cleans metal parts within a sealed process chamber. It uses targeted vibration and automated programmable rotation along two axes.
Pneumatic or piezoelectric excitation
The SFM-AT350 has a pneumatic vibration excitation, which can be optionally supplemented with a knocker. Alternatively, the SFM-AT350-E is available with piezoelectric excitation, which cleans the component particularly gently through very high and self-regulating vibration.
Programmable motion
The latest generation of the SFM-AT350/-E is compatible with the SPR-Pathfinder® Software. The software automatically calculates the ideal motion sequence for each part, which is then read and executed by the Solukon system so that the powder is removed residual-free.
Safety and connectivity within the SFM-AT350
Since the SFM‑AT350 is ignition source-free, it also cleans components made of reactive materials such as aluminum or titanium safely. Safety-monitored inerting with inert gas provides additional explosion protection. As an option, the Digital-Factory-Tool enables quality assurance and automation integration via OPC UA for your depowdering process.

Solukon’s SFM-AT350 is ideally suited to depowder hip cups with a porous surface (lattice structures) due to its compact design, fast inerting, programmability of motion, and frequency excitation. Due to the indirect mechanical cleaning, the powder remains almost unchanged in its material properties and can be collected in the container and fed back into the process via a sieving station.
